Breathtaking views at 2.323 meters above sea level
Piz Scalottas
Piz Scalottas lies at 2,323 metres above sea level and is Lenzerheidner's local mountain. It can be easily reached by chair lift from Val Sporz / Tgantieni. From the summit you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the Lenzerheide plateau and the surrounding valleys and mountains. The Scalottas is the starting point for numerous slopes. Paragliders and delta gliders also feel at home with us, as there is an ideal starting point for unique flying experiences up here.
The easiest way to reach us is by chairlift from Val Sporz, where you can park your car or take the free sports bus. In Tgantieni you change lifts and within a few minutes you will reach the summit!
From Piz Scalottas, two one-hour valley walks start: One leads to Tgantieni via June Hut and via Alp Fops; the other via Schäfermulde also to Tgantieni - both are well suited for families with children. From Tgantieni the hike can be extended with the Globi hiking trail to Heidsee.
The tour on the neighbouring Piz Danis with subsequent descent via Stäzersattel to the Heidbüel and back to Churwalden is very scenic. For this hike you should bring some stamina and allow about 3.5 hours pure hiking time. Also highly recommended is a detour to the 2,151-metre-high Crap la Pala with various further hiking options in the direction of Obervaz / Lain or Val Sporz.
